Given the growing demand for CAT-iq 2.0 systems, DSP Group® has introduced a comprehensive CAT-iq 2.0 software reference design kit (SW RDK). The SW RDK provides full CAT-iq 2.0 functionality for the handset (HS), as well as a reference PSTN base station (BS) supporting CAT-iq 2.0 for HS interoperability testing. Powered by DSP Group's advanced DCX chipset family, the SW RDK operates across an array of mid-range black-and-white displays and high-end color LCDs featuring enhanced graphical user interface (GUI) systems.
Based on DSP Group's proven Scorpion SW package, the CAT-iq 2.0 SW RDK includes a set of APIs and application modules. These APIs simplify implementation of a CAT-iq 2.0 man-machine interface (MMI) that includes features such as list access, call controland event notication. The SW RDK helps customers implement the MMI via either a comprehensive CAT-iq 2.0 reference design or
DSP Group applications that serve as a starting point for in-house implementation.
The SW RDK runs on DCX ROM and Flash single-chip platforms, offering full CAT-iq 2.0 functionality for the HS and a reference BS supporting CAT-iq-2.0. The broad range of functionality includes:
- Databases based on list access
- CAT-iq 2.0 mandatory and optional databases
- Cordless telephony use cases (e.g. missed call, voice message notication) via CAT-iq 2.0 generic event notication
- Interoperability with any CAT-iq 2.0 xed or portable device
- Handset management of multi-line and wideband voice
- SMS (CAT-iq 2.1-ready)
-
TAD (CAT-iq 2.1-ready)
In addition, the SW RDK offers a full GUI/MMI featuring a range of screens including idle, main menu, notications, phone book,DECT settings, picture and sound album, date and time, call manager, and history manager. |
