DSP CODEC
DSP CODEC is a versatile, multi-functional Analog Front-End IC, featuring the combination of Sigma-Delta CODECs, DSP, Analog muxes and amplifiers with programmable gain, having various peripheral interfaces on a single chip. It is based on well known DSP Group's D36k family of components.

ISDN to PSTN Converter
The D36561 is used as dual PSTN line and TDM interface. The host is used for initializations and for ISDN protocol implementation. (Signaling and messaging).
Voice Guidance, Talking Appliance
The D36521 is a perfect tool for creating applications for human voice guidance.
For example: Voice driving instructions from a GPS system, voice warning messages in home appliances, etc.
Computer Telephony
Simple telephone line interface to a host computer. Use D36521 for single line applications and D36561 for dual line applications.
Analog Front-End for Cellular phone with Handsfree Speakerphone
This application enhances the cellular handset capability by adding hands free speaker phone. The D36521 has a True FULL Duplex Speakerphone® with both acoustical and near-end echo cancellations. This application can be used for vendors that don't have access to Base Band (BB) controller software; it provides superior solution for hands free applications.
Analog Front-End for Cellular phone with Handsfree Speakerphone and Answering Machine and Digital Voice Recorder
This application enables an intelligent local voice mail and a Digital Voice Recorder on the cellular handset. D36521 serves for two functions: a compression engine for storing incoming massages and as AFE for cellular hands free as in the previous application.
Wireless Intercom / Digital Walkie Talkie
Applications includes wireless intercom, high quality Walkie talkie, baby monitor (needs one way communication only). Main advantage: clear communication link compared to analog.
