DECT 1.9GHz

Overview   Highlights   Block Diagram   Product Brochure

The DECT (Digital European Cordless Telephone) chipset family is a highly integrated solution for 1.9GHz cordless telephones for the DECT 1.9GHz Band. The DECT chipset provides a 3-chip solution: the Baseband controller (DE56xxx), the RF Transceiver (DE19RF16), and a simple external RF Power Amplifier (DE19PA16) required to boost the output power to the maximum allowed level.

Integration of the TeakLiteTM RISC DSP core into the Baseband chip enables a software implementation of the voice coder and provides a platform offering a wide range of solutions. Software and hardware compatibility is provided for the entire range of products: from a basic cordless phone with Caller ID up to a fully featured solution including the integration of CID type I & II, Multi-party Handsfree True Full Duplex Speakerphone® and Digital Telephone Answering Machine (DTAM) function, as well as dual line support.

The integrated DSP technology also enables advanced functions such as an audio notch filter to remove TDD frame-related noise and a line echo canceller.

The family combines unique communication technology with the best telephony features at the most effective system cost.

The DECT chipset supports up to six simultaneous Handset links to the Base station, multiple ringing Handsets and Handset to Handset communication independent of Base station (Walkie Talkie mode).

Flexible MMI SW can be written in C code. This code will be executed on the high performance TeakLiteTM RISC DSP Core that provides a processing power of up to 140MIPs.
