Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT ) is an ETSI standard for digital cordless radio communications in residential and enterprise environments. Originally established in Europe for both voice and data applications, DECT is now available worldwide, most notably in North America under the DECT6.0 brand.
DECT operates within a protected spectrum, uses dynamic channel selection, and provides a secure, reliable connection at a range of at least 300m outdoors, while easily reaching 50m indoors.
DSP Group® is an active member of the DECT Forum, holding a position on its board and chairing a number of its working groups (WGs), including WG USA, WG Marketing and WG Ultra Low Energy. Such involvement is complemented by the company's active participation in other relevant Forum working groups, as well as in the ETSI Technical Committee DECT (TC DECT).
