HDK X (DX/VegaOne)

Overview

DSP Group™ provides a variety of hardware and software reference designs for the DCX (VegaOne) chipset. Covering both handset and base, the reference designs enable customers to develop digital cordless products based on the chipset.

The HDK X 1 (VegaOne) boards are development boards surrounded by extensions and development options. Cordless phone features are implemented on the boards using DSP Group's software reference design package.

Different boards are utilized for handset and base development. The DCX chipset is soldered directly onto either the main board or an adapter module mounted into the main board. There are modules for the DCX in single-package form, separate packages for RFPAU and DPU, and bare die form that is directly bonded to the module.

The handset and base are designed to support DSP Group's software package. Both can be connected to an external PC via the I2C interface for software debugging and testing.

The various development boards and modules come with all required hardware collateral including user manual, block diagram, full schematics, bill of materials (BOM) component list, PCB layout, and Gerber files.
